Toronto - One of the most anticipated summer events, The Honey Jam, takes place at the Mod Club Theatre (722 College Street) on Sunday August 20th, 2006. Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster

The 2006 edition will be hosted by Flow 93.5 morning show hosts Jemeni and Mark Strong. This is a homecoming for Jemeni who was one of the original members of the 1995 PhemPhat team. The show promises to deliver a night of exciting entertainment with a diverse group of artists from Ottawa, Winnipeg, Calgary and Toronto representing jazz, reggae, pop, country, hip hop, R&B and soul - a celebration of all music at its finest.

Canada's premier urban radio station, FLOW 93.5 FM has joined with producer, 2Rude, to present a Production Prize worth $5,000 to one lucky artist performing at the showcase. 2Rude has worked with Esthero, Keshia Chante, and he produced a track that’s blazing on FLOW right now, "High on Love".

Another lucky artist will receive the Honey Jam Hook-up Prize Pak consisting of various gifts worth a combined total of over $5,000, including:

• Time with an A&R Rep and studio time from SONY BMG (www.sonybmg.com)
• Sound equipment from Yamaha (www.yamaha.ca)

Over the past decade, Honey Jam can claim an impressive roster of alumni, including artists such as Nelly Furtado, Jully Black, Andrea Desiree Lewis, Melanie Durrant, Toya Alexis, Graph Nobel, Natasha Waterman and many more who have graced the Honey Jam stage early in their careers.
