It will be an inspirational evening highlighting people in our community who reflect a positive state of mind, and put social justice into action. In the honour of Aron Y Haile, the Xclusive Entertainment Group and Harmony Movement would like to honour the life Aron Y Haile as he was exemplary in creating opportunities for people of diverse backgrounds. Aron Y Haile, an African Canadian who died in 2003 at the young age of 30, was an accomplished student, entrepreneur, software developer, entertainment event planner, theater arts enthusiast, and adventurer. His willingness to mentor, love for people and the arts gave him an avenue to forge many meaningful relationships while giving back to his community. Aron believed that you should help those of good character who were already making a positive effort, to take it a step further. On holidays from his role as software developer at BMO, his short yet fulfilled life ended in a vehicular accident while visiting an Archeological site in Eritrea (East Africa).

We would like to honour the legacy of Aron Y Haile through this event and a new initiative to commence in January 2007: the Aroni Ambassador Leadership Program (AALP). The AALP is a leadership program that will allow marginalized youth to develop mentors in the community while learning the core fundamentals of success. As an attendee of the INSPIRE gala, we are inviting young professionals from the community to assist in the design, implementation and delivery of this exciting initiative.

The event will also award AroniMAGE Awards to unsung heroes of our community who continue to work in their respective fields, with a dedication to community service. The nomination process for the AroniMAGE Award is open to the general public. The AroniAwards Education Grants will be presented to students who require financial aid for post-secondary schooling. These students should show strong dedication to community service, a positive outlook, and continue to persevere despite socio-economic hardships. Invitations to nominate candidates are open to all educators, counselors, social workers and community organizations.

We invite you to get involved in our efforts to strengthen the youth of today for a stronger tomorrow on Sunday December 10th. For more information on the event, how to nominate a person for an AroniAward or to get involved with the new AALP please visit the above outlined websites. All proceeds the event will go to the AroniAwards and the Aroni Ambassador Leadership Program (AALP).
