Local News: Police plead for witnesses in Livvette Moore shooting Black Habits Articles Investigators continue to look for at least two suspects in a Toronto nightclub shooting that left a mother of four dead. A post-mortem concluded 26-year-old Livvette Moore died of a gunshot to the head. Toronto police say they are frustrated that few witnesses are stepping forward to help solve the weekend killing.

Last updated Apr 27 2005 10:05 AM EDT Moore was the recently widowed mother of four children. She died early Sunday when gunmen opened fire during a private party at a North York restaurant. An estimated 200 people were in the restaurant when the shooting began, but only a handful have so far come forward to tell police what they saw. Det. Wayne Banks said Moore, who was also known as Livvette Miller, was an innocent victim whose death occurred in a room that was crowded with many of her friends and acquaintances. "There were lots of people that would have been in the position to observe what happened," said Banks. "We're hoping that this is a wake-up call for people, and that people in the community will come forward, start talking to police about this, and put an end to this type of violence." Six men were also injured in the shooting, but none of their injuries is considered life threatening. Forensic tests have shown that more than one firearm was used in the attack. No suspects have been arrested.
